  it all depends on what you're paired with. If I'm paired with a woman who is merely lovely vs an action scene, I will vote any scene with action first usually. Then a scene without action. I dislike the ones with someone standing static in the middle but some people think symmetry is perfection rather than boring/static. Some people vote a pretty face or a nice body first over an action scene. I don't think the top 10 for the spies looked alike. The poses are varied & nonstatic. Yes it was all women wearing black but they said Spy Girl so a woman is automatic, and most people do black clothes & night for spies. Most of the top 10, while at night, still had good lighting on the subject so they stood out from the background. ashikage_takauji did a wonderful RL historical image but the details would have gotten lost on a small screen. Think of that all entries grid on the challenge page. panos' image looks great at that size and yet had enough detail to look great on a large monitor.

  Actually my submission was not as good and accurate as this one. I never researched properly, relied on Ava. There were some others I saw that were accurate but they did poorly. Most voters picked the more modern look focused on wings plus sex appeal. But I know in challenges, sex appeal 'sells', creative and original intrepretation of the theme generally not nearly as succesful. So have to decide - trying to win or be true to one's own 'voice' - I choose the latter

  Suspect we can bounce back and forth on this. For me I wanted what Panos did, something a little more creative than the obvious. But that is me. I know each specific woman in top 10 was different, I just tend to zoom out, be a bit more abstracted. Do keep forgetting the phone form factor factor

  Thanks. I think it is more fitting, but know little about all this muythology. Glad I didn't spend all the time to create this for the challenge, would have been upsetting to place poorly. And I am sure it would have placed poorly, not flaunting female form, wings etc

  I like it. I think of Morgana and also the women celtic warriors of legend, probably due to the red hair and the painterly style. the paint style is cool creating a moody somber cinematic vibe

  I've been last before. I wish they gave an award for that like they do on NC. And it is cool panos came in 2nd. His image told a story and I think people appreciated it.
