**"Seeking the bravest fallen warrior"** QT: The Pre 19th Century Valkyrie ----------------------------------------------------- I am sure at some point there must have been a Valkyrie-themed QT. My spin is to lead into the original lore, steering away from more modern depictions in which the Valkyrie has become winged and usually depicted as beautiful and dressed to show off her body. This is prompted by the conversations first with @panos then @faerierealm who pointed out (correctly so) the weaknesses in my Challenge submission (image 2). I invested a little extra time (and credits) to create a better version, the version I would have developed had I wanted to submit an image that was my 'best' work with an intent to place in the top 3. This image leans into the characteristics of wearing armour, a cloak made of black swan feathers, a spear emitting lightening, riding a magical horse that gallops across the sky, and presence of ravens.

Oh, so the historically accurate valkyrie was yours! I was thinking about making one, but ultimately chickened out. Yours looks absolutely wonderful!

I like it. I think of Morgana and also the women celtic warriors of legend, probably due to the red hair and the painterly style. the paint style is cool creating a moody somber cinematic vibe
