Colorful cartoon of a man in traditional Japanese kimono on roller skates in a park, holding champagne and a basketball.
A vibrant cartoon-style scene featuring a man in traditional Japanese attire (kimono and hakama) wearing a captain’s hat, roller skates, and holding a glass of champagne in one hand and a basketball in the other. Then there is Qwen, the other AI image generator by Alibaba. It obviously does not like the idea of a cross-dressing old man, since everything here has been rendered "gender-appropriate." As to the peaked cap in lieu of the helmet...well, it's peace time after all.

I'm no expert on those caps either. Most of them look the same to me, but I do recognize a few unique types--the Russian style with its much larger top, the North Korean style with the tall and bulging top, and the WWII German style with the top flared up at the front.

Yeah, when I taught English in Japan, I'd see women in kimonos, not often, but sometimes like at temples or matsuris or different things. It was rare to see a guy dress like that unless he had some grey in his hair. I don't know anything about official caps tho.

That was pretty much the Japanese equivalent to a three-piece suit and tie in the late feudal era, and people still use it a lot for special occasions, although not quite as often as women's kimonos. The cap, though, is more Soviet/Russian in style, I'd say. 😊

Well I do like that outfit. It's pretty cool and it matches the hat! Even the skates match . He is a very fashionable guy and that champagne is making him happy

And now you know whom to call if you end up on "Who Wants to Be a Millionaire" and the final question is about Soviet army cap design. 😂

Got quite a bit of those over the years, but these days Google and AI are rendering them increasingly useless--unless I go try my luck on "Jeopardy." 😂

no knowledge is useless -- especially in AI art. Now you can add the factoids you've gathered over time and drop them into prompts.

CaylaCatz

that's interesting. I should pay more attention to hats because to me they all look alike but there are obviously style diifferences

Or not...that was some rather useless knowledge I somehow gathered over the years. 😅

or that million dollar question game
