Lyrics: We Didn't Do It-For the Love of Twins

🎶 LYRICS [Intro – Twins] (claps, ukulele, campfire crackle) TWINS: We came to camp to have some fun! CAMPERS: And now the chaos has begun! COUNSELORS: Oh no… not them… not them again! [Verse 1 – Twins] TWINS: We packed our bags and tied our braids We brought some snacks and prank parade A marshmallow here, a treasure map there A little excitement in the summer air! We climbed the tents, we rang the bell We maybe stirred the marshmallow well But if the cabins tipped at ten… Well, that’s not something we admit just yet! [Pre-Chorus – Campers / Counselors] CAMPERS: They’re laughing, running, causing scenes! COUNSELORS: They’re the wildest kids we’ve ever seen! [Chorus – Full Ensemble] TWINS + CAMPERS: WE DIDN’T DO IT! WELL MAYBE WE DID! JUST A LITTLE BIT OF CRAZY KID STUFF! COUNSELORS: THE MAP IS GONE! THE SNACKS ARE HID! WHY IS THIS CAMP SO INCREDIBLY TOUGH?! ALL: DOUBLE THE TROUBLE, DOUBLE THE FUN TWO LITTLE TWINS AND EVERYONE RUN! LAUGHING SO HARD TILL THE DAY IS DONE— WE DIDN’T DO IT… BUT IT SURE WAS FUN! [Verse 2 – Twins / Campers] TWINS: We found a raccoon near the cookie crate We told the bear cub “Come on, don’t be late!” The eagle swooped and the counselors screamed But honestly, it was the best camp dream! CAMPERS: They stole the flags and switched the signs They turned the hiking trail sideways! TWINS: We just improved your boring plans! COUNSELORS: You turned our camp into chaos land! [Pre-Chorus – Counselors] COUNSELORS: The tents fell down, the fire went out! TWINS: We call that fun—we have no doubt! [Chorus – Full Ensemble] TWINS + CAMPERS: WE DIDN’T DO IT! WELL MAYBE WE DID! JUST A LITTLE BIT OF CAMPFIRE SPARK! COUNSELORS: WHO TOOK THE MAP? WHO HID THE LID? WHY IS THERE A RACCOON IN THE PARK?! ALL: DOUBLE THE TROUBLE, DOUBLE THE FUN NOBODY KNOWS HOW THIS GOT UNDONE! SINGING AND LAUGHING FOR EVERYONE— WE DIDN’T DO IT… BUT IT SURE WAS FUN! [Bridge – Spoken / Sung Comedy] (music drops to claps + bass) COUNSELORS: Who roasted marshmallows on my flashlight?! TWINS: Not us! CAMPERS: Who painted mustaches on us last night?! TWINS: Not us! COUNSELORS: Who tied the canoe up in a tree?! TWINS: Okay… that one might have been me… [Final Chorus – Huge Ensemble] ALL: WE DIDN’T DO IT! WELL MAYBE WE DID! CAMP HAS NEVER BEEN THIS MUCH FUN! THE COUNSELORS YELL! THE CAMPERS ALL CHEER! EVERYBODY’S SINGING BY THE SETTING SUN! DOUBLE THE TROUBLE, DOUBLE THE FUN THE BEST CAMP MEMORIES HAVE BEGUN! EVEN THE COUNSELORS LOVE THESE TWO— THEY MIGHT BE CHAOS, BUT THEY LOVE THEM TOO! [Outro – Twins + Ensemble] (ukulele strums, laughter) TWINS: See you tomorrow! COUNSELORS: Oh no… CAMPERS: OH YES!
