About this image
A richly detailed steampunk workshop set in a Gothic-style hall where monk-like artisans work at brass-detailed desks surrounded by clockwork devices, glowing lamps, and illuminated manuscripts. The warm amber lighting, arched windows, and intricate machinery create a fantasy-industrial atmosphere that blends medieval and Victorian aesthetics.

Thank you very much! The result of many conversations with @CaylaCatz and her excellent blogs
yeah, there are a few i didn't have yet in that area. Monkpunk- this is the first I've heard of it. I also recently found out (yesterday or the day before) about castlepunk, middlepunk and plaguepunk which are all set in that time. There's also candlepunk I think for medieval. I keep finding more so after I do part 3, I may have to do a part 4 for all the ones I didn't know about 3 days ago. I'm surprised at monkpunk tho. I would have guessed it would be like Asian monks. Kung fu, Shao-lin, etc is what I thnk of when I think of monks. This is cool tho.

HA!!!! First you hear of it, because just yesterday, I invented it!!! Hooray!!!! (all these terms you find confirm my thought that everybody sticks -punk to whatever comes to mind!! Most people just for fun I think. This is the prompt: ""Medieval Monastery. Monks using steampunk technology to produce and illuminate manuscripts. Depict a world of MonkPunk where the term "MonkPunk" has the context of Steampunk, CyberPunk, solarPunk etc."" As you sse, the model was led ot depict european monks, as their work with manuscripts is something they are fanous for
@JMN ·
Fair enough😣. Yes, KC:D is historically accurate for the era. My meaning was a portion of KC:D is set in a monastery [depending on your choices], and I was guessing you may have been reimagining that scene as "MonkPunk".😉
@panos ·
Ah, no, I haven't played those games. My Paaleolithic PC is due for an upgrade for a decade now and it can't run them. Does it have such scenery? I though it was a straight-medieval game, strictly historical
@JMN ·
It's a very good idea and makes so much sense; the church would have access to the best tech even pre-industrial era. Reminds me of how advanced Van Helsing's weaponry was for his time, eh? 😉
@panos ·
@CaylaCatz MonkPunk, a subcategory of MedievalPunk - there waes a chronological gap in your -punks. Beacuse of PostApocalyptic, I went periphrastic in this prompt, explainig to the model what "monkpunk" is
Yeah she explains very well you have to check out her youtube channel she has a lot of amazing music videos on there
@panos ·
Sadly, no. I'm salivating seeing those games (and many, many more), but my funds mustneeds go elsewhere....
@JMN ·
Did someone finish Kingdom Come: Deliverance recently? This scene feels like a reimagining of the monastery library.
