Thursday: KC and the Sunshine Band - That’s the Way (I Like It) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O0_H3F84Yjk --------------------------------------------------- Going to again aim for the weather reference being in the band, rather than the song. Would like the bands and songs to be known to me. May mean the song is not one I especially like, which is the case here. -------------------------------------------------- Song challenge blog https://budgetpixel.com/blog/weather-song-challenge-february-19-24-2026

About this image

A softly-lit romantic illustration of a couple sharing an intimate moment outdoors, with the woman in a red dress and the man in a blue shirt. The warm glow from string lights and candles creates a cinematic, dreamy mood, highlighting close proximity and tenderness in a modern love scene.

The last post was the dry run for the virtual Open Mic. Now I am practicing two for the next: Fleetwood Mac - Don't Stop and Neil Young - From Hank to Hendrix. Takes me a long time to learn to play the song and become reasnably consistent. It feels to me longer than most, which is fine. I also remind myself faster than the majority who haven't learnt how at all.

Yep, I can hear him saying uh huh, uh huh, to her. Good pic. What a blast from the past. I get you don't like the song but I remember dancing to it when I was a teen. My friends and I had this kicking dance wiht a twirl almost like a can-can that we would do with it. It was fun.

It'd be more fun for you to do a song you liked more. What are you likely to do for your next jam? I noticed that you posted on your YT recently. Is that your next song?

I haven't and would not be something I'd do. - Not with my looper but could record it, play over it etc in other ways

  • @CaylaCatz ·

That's cool. Have you played/sang it to her? Could you do that drum back beat with your looping?

Great image! I need to check out the new blog and get started soon.

Thanks. It is a fun dance tune. My wife enjoys it.

  • @DavidP ·

Thanks very much. I try and do them day-by-day.

It may feel longer to you because you don't get to see them practice but you see yours. It's cool you keep learning new songs. Your repertoire is growing.
