Necronomicon Cultist

Entry in the Secret Society challenge.

About this image

This bold retro woodcut illustration depicts a dark ceremonial occult ritual set inside a vaulted gothic temple. Rows of hooded robed cultists bow in reverence toward a grotesque giant all-seeing eye beast with writhing tentacles, while an ancient pentagram-marked grimoire rests on the foreground altar. The eerie foreboding scene uses contrasting deep blue, blood red, and aged parchment tones, accented by flickering torchlight and towering winged statues.
