The Hall of Fame: BudgetPixel Daily Challenge All-Time Standings & Records

By vrieming

Since its inception, the BudgetPixel Daily Challenge has grown into a massive, fiercely competitive arena of creativity. We have witnessed breathtaking art, intense rivalries, and an incredibly dedicated community. To date, we have officially reached Challenge 136 (Underwater Pianist). However, due to a site error that rendered Challenge 45 void, we are currently sitting at exactly 135 total Daily Challenges . The sheer volume of participation is staggering. Across these 135 challenges, a total of 7,641 entries were submitted, gathering a massive 358,767 votes ! We have seen 436 unique participants throw their hats into the ring, with 187 unique usernames successfully etching their names onto the Leaderboard. Before we unveil the ultimate All-Time Standings, here is a quick note on the methodology: this data uses a "point-in-time" snapshot approach. If a user deleted their profile, the ranks below them shifted up at that exact moment, and we do not backtrack to alter past records. Similarly, if a user changed their name, their old and new usernames appear as separate entries. This ensures the historical integrity of every snapshot! 🏆 The All-Time Top Standings Without further ado, here are the Top All-Time Standings of the BudgetPixel Daily Challenge! 🌟 Hall of Unique Records & Trivia Beyond the main leaderboard, the underlying statistics reveal fascinating stories of dedication, efficiency, and sheer dominance. Here are the standout players who have carved their own unique legacies in the BudgetPixel arena: The Consistent Master: germancowboy In a league entirely of his own, germancowboy is the ONLY user with a flawless 100% attendance rate, participating in all 135 challenges. That is the definition of an iron will! The Legion of Elite Out of 436 total participants, only a highly exclusive group of 14 users have crossed the 100-challenge threshold. We salute this "Legion of Elite": germancowboy (135), TTRPG_Player (134), legion (133), EternaSky (131), Sealine (127), profe (126), chris70 (123), wizfield (123), charlypalermo (119), TesaranJ (117), archangeltara (111), panos (105), MrUnick (102), and CaylaCatz (100). The Efficiency Expert: gman For users with over 20 participations, gman holds the highest success rate in the competition. Out of 26 total participations, he cracked the leaderboard 15 times—a massive 57.69% strike rate! The Leaderboard Leviathan: wizfield When it comes to high-volume players (over 50 participations), wizfield reigns supreme. Out of 123 entries, he hit the leaderboard 60 times (48.78%). This incredible consistency also makes him the user with the most leaderboard placements in the history of the challenge. The Grand Champion: Sealine Taking the #1 spot is no easy feat, but Sealine has mastered the art of winning, securing the absolute Rank 1 title an astonishing 10 times! The Rising Star: jasonbourne101 Among the Top 10 users with the most Champion titles, jasonbourne101 is the newest to join the fray. With only 32 participations under his belt, he has already landed on the podium 13 times and snatched 5 Champion wins. A truly meteoric rise! The Back-to-Back Conquerors: Unleashed, wizfield, & bleepunc Winning consecutive challenges is nearly impossible, yet only three creators have pulled off this legendary feat. Unleashed claimed back-to-back golds in Challenge 48 ( Secret Garden ) and Challenge 49 ( Dancer ). Soon after, wizfield secured consecutive titles in Challenge 54 ( Glass World ) and Challenge 55 ( Swordswoman ). Later on, bleepunc rounded out this elite group by dominating Challenge 85 ( Rescue Mission ) and Challenge 86 ( Boss Battle ). The Podium Hattrick: Chicken-Man Staying in the Top 3 is a brutal test of skill and adaptation. Chicken-Man holds the jaw-dropping record of consecutive podium finishes, locking himself in the Top 3 across Challenge 115 (Miniature World Adventure), Challenge 116 (Pets Causing Trouble), and Challenge 117 (Elemental Fashion). The Iron-Streak Survivors: Biscuit & vrieming These two hold the record for the longest unbroken stay inside the Top 10 Leaderboard, with 6 consecutive appearances each without ever falling out. Biscuit held the line early on from Challenge 15 (Beautiful Landscape) to Challenge 20 (Mermaid), while vrieming dominated the late game from Challenge 127 (Titan’s Vanguard) to Challenge 132 (Ivory Gunslinger). -- What kind of stats or trivia would you like to see next? Here is the Top 10: wizfield (361pts), Sealine (350pts), germancowboy (333pts), chris70 (224pts), vrieming (186pts), bleepunc (171pts), PabloArtStation (170pts), Unleashed (162pts), TTRPG_Player (154pts), yeah4 (153pts). Looking at the Top 20, the list is a 95% match with the blog's table if sorted by Total Placement, with an average shift of just 1-2 ranks.

Unfortunately, there's no API available, but no worries—it was all done with Python! Even the tables were directly generated using Python scripts, so definitely no self-torture here haha. Regarding the number of entries, I actually made a separate table that included total participation, total placements, and the overall success rate (placements/entries × 100%). I decided to hold it back, though. I was worried it might be a bit disheartening for those with a lower percentage—it can be tough to see that you've submitted a ton of entries but only won a few. But I might have just been overthinking it! 😂

Sealine

Wow! You sure do love statistics to put this together! It was nice to see and I really had no idea I had the most 1st place finishes. I always wanted the back-to-back like my hubby (Unleashed) but twice I got 1st followed by 2nd. I did think Wizfield had back-to-back wins too but guess I was mistaken. (BTW, I've since given up on the back-to-back win idea. Right now, it's just hard enough to place in the top 10.)

vrieming

You nailed it! You officially hold the record for the most 4th place finishes (11x). And fun fact: wizfield holds the record for the most 10th place finishes (7x). I actually had the titles 'The Podium Phantom' or 'The Gatekeeper' ready to go, but I held off so I wouldn't sound redundant repeating names 😂

vrieming

You had an amazing run over the last 30 challenges or so! I was originally planning to drop the all-time stats right at challenge 100. At that point, wizfield was still holding the #1 spot. But things happened, so I ended up just releasing everything up to challenge 135 all at once 😀

I used Selenium (Playwright would also work fine) not PyAutoGUI. PyAutoGUI is for controlling the mouse and keyboard on the desktop, while Selenium controls a real browser programmatically — which is much more suitable for scraping web pages.

legion

Yeah, he's right on your tail; if he finishes first one more time, he'll overtake you. I need a first-place finish too—it would shoot me up the rankings—but I've never managed to get one... yet, haha.

legion

Great job, very interesting. I actually told @Sealine that she was the one who made the podium the most often, and I wasn't wrong—so, of course, here are my claps for you, Vrieming.

Sealine

With my performances lately, it shouldn't be hard! And yeah, you definitely need a win! Five times on the podium with no first place finishes, that's crazy. It's coming, for sure!

Anyway, about wizfield, you were totally right! Let me fix that trivia while I check where my code went wrong, haha. Thanks for pointing that out, and sorry for the confusion!
