Lyrics — “Ship of Dreams” by @winter_witch

It was a quiet night in the desert And I'd pulled over to take a rest, When suddenly a bright light hovered over me. What it was, I couldn't guess. Then the light grew even bigger, With a spaceship emerging in its beam, Which landed on the desert sand With a hiss and a gust of steam. Oh, take me away in your ship of dreams, Show me galaxies no one has seen, Take me further, beyond and above, And I'll show you what it means to love... Yes, I'll show you what it means to love. Then a hatchway slid open, with an alien Visible within. And I was stunned To see it.. it was in fact a she Pointing what looked like a complicated gun. She said, "Earthling, you're my captive. Hands up! You will obey!" And I thought 'She's seen too many old movies' But I put my hands up anyway. Oh, take me away in your ship of dreams, Show me galaxies no one has seen, Take me further, beyond and above, And I'll show you what it means to love... Yes, I'll show you what it means to love. She took me to her spaceship, That flew like a supersonic slingshot. And now that I could see her more clearly, I realised this girl was super, super hot! "You humans intrigue us" she said, As she toyed with the hem of my dress. "You feel love, you feel desire. Feelings that my own race do not possess." She said "You have a choice, Earthling. Teach me all about love - the Why, The What, the How. And if you do, I'll set you free. Refuse me, and you die!" So we retired to her boudoir, Where it turned out she learned easily. And when she murmured "Stay longer" I replied "There's nowhere else I need to be." Oh, take me away in your ship of dreams, Show me galaxies no one has seen, Take me further, beyond and above, And I’ll show you what it means to love… Yes, I’ll show you what it means to love." “Earthling?” “Yes?” “I think I require… further instruction.”
