Armored fantasy hero and heroine face each other on a moonlit New York city rooftop
Epic dark fantasy digital art showing two formidable superpowered figures staring down one another on a wet high-rise rooftop. The woman wears ornate organic spiked gold armor, while the man wields shadowy symbiote powers from his black and gold tech suit, set against a glowing night Manhattan skyline under a full moon. The tense dramatic mood leans into a gritty modern comic book aesthetic with deep moody shadow and rich dark color grading.
Spawn crouches on a gothic building ledge overlooking a full moon and glowing night city skyline
This dark fantasy comic art depicts the antihero Spawn perched high on a gothic cathedral ledge, his billowing crimson cape blowing in the night wind. Cool blue moonlight from a large full moon illuminates the glittering downtown city skyline stretching out below him, contrasting with his black armored suit, spiked gauntlets, and skull-adorned chains. The mood is gritty, watchful, and atmospheric, leaning into classic superhero comic aesthetic with dramatic high contrast lighting.

Entry in the Epic Fantasy Themes theme on BudgetPixel.

Happy National Comic Book Day! Inspired by @JMN ... but prefering to use comics from the 2000s , rather than the 80s, to not feel so old anymore 😋 https://budgetpixel.com/p/86626

Your Spawn is absolutely amazing! He's perfect! I'm not as familiar with Witchblade or the Darkness, but they are both amazing too. Love both in the set.

panos

Whoa! Witcblade, the Darkness and Spawn!. To tell you the truth, haven't read much image comics. The 90's was a time I was off comics. i returned to them at the 2000s

panos

yes, Image comics had a distinct art-style that is very good all these years later. What few a I have read of those I liked, especially the Darkness

TheBard

I enjoyed a lot the style of Witchblade, the Darkness and the others from this time and publisher. 😁 And also that they were quite dark 😈

JMN

Whoa~ these turned out great Bard! #2 is obviously Spawn. Is #1 Witchblade and the Darkness?

DavidP

And mine was mostly a football centric comic called Roy of the Rovers ROFL

TheBard

Thank you very much 😊 Yes they are, glad that you recognize them 😁

DavidP

And my comic exposure was more late 70s 🤣 Cool set
