Folded origami samurai holds a drawn katana amid falling cherry blossom petals at a Japanese shrine
This intricately textured 3D origami artwork depicts a stoic armored samurai posed with an extended katana, set in a traditional Japanese shrine courtyard lined with glowing stone lanterns and a red torii gate. The geometric low-poly folded paper style uses warm beige, dark charcoal, deep red, and soft pink tones, with drifting sakura petals adding dynamic movement to the quiet, tense scene. The design blends feudal Japanese warrior lore with modern digital illustration craft for a striking fantasy aesthetic.

Entry in the Your Daily / BP Challenge Extras #02 theme on BudgetPixel.

My alternative artwork for the Human Origami Challenge. For my submission, I was deciding between this Origami Samurai and the Origami Man I eventually submitted. The Origami Samurai is definitely more visually striking, while the Origami Man feels more meaningful to me. The samurai would have been the safer choice, but I wanted to give the Origami Man a shot and see how it would turn out. Final submission: https://budgetpixel.com/p/85242

Very cool! Love your samurai origami. I think the fire guy is a little bit better because it's funny but I love this one too
