This atmospheric, moody photograph shows a vacant vintage underground subway station, viewed directly down glistening, wet train tracks that recede into a dark unlit tunnel at the far end. Dual concrete platforms line the tracks, marked with bright yellow tactile safety edging, supported by thick concrete pillars and lit by long rows of cool overhead fluorescent tube lights. Grimy, weathered tiled tunnel walls and distorted unreadable station signage add to the somber, eerie industrial urban transit aesthetic.
