Alice and Infected Mushrooms: Wonderland adventure went wrong... 😱

About this image

This grimdark horror anime illustration reimagines Alice from Alice in Wonderland as a disoriented, injured figure wandering a menacing bioluminescent twisted mushroom forest. The eerie, moody piece uses deep violet, magenta, and sickly neon green tones to highlight her tattered blood-stained blue dress, frayed apron, and vacant spiral eyes set against towering glowing toxic toadstools and gnarled dead forest undergrowth. This twisted take on the classic fairytale leans into body horror and dark fantasy aesthetics popular with horror illustration and dark fairytale fan communities.

This haunting dark fantasy anime illustration reimagines Alice from Alice in Wonderland as an unsettling, disoriented figure wandering a twisted nighttime mushroom forest. Her tattered, blood-stained classic blue dress and apron, vacant spiral wide eyes, and surrounding luminous purple, green, and red glowing fungi build an uncanny, horror-tinged grim fairytale mood. Shadowy gnarled forest undergrowth and tiny floating glowing fireflies add atmospheric dread to the eerie surreal scene.
