This moody, sepia-toned cinematic scene shows a mid-century theater projectionist standing inside a vintage projection booth, operating a large analog reel-to-reel film projector that beams a glowing "The End" title card to an empty auditorium screen. A vintage promotional poster for the classic film *The African Queen* hangs on the booth wall, with half-full glass beer mugs and a pitcher on a nearby work surface, creating a quiet, nostalgic post-show atmosphere for classic film fans.

I did this job for more than a decade. The beer is more accurate than you'd think. It was actually a cinema pub where I started as a projectionist/manager. We had pub food, pizza, beer and wine. I worked there for about ten years before going to a large theater chain, starting as projectionist and moving up to manager. No beer at the chain theaters, but the cinema pub was pretty much unlimited. And free. I'm really good at a job that has pretty much ceased to exist.

Pretty cool. Cinema pub? You must be an expert on vintage Silver Screen movies and classics. Free pizza, food, beer and drink is pretty hard to beat. Not many jobs offer that. If you started young enough, I bet it felt like a dream come true.
