"The simple pulley that retrieves lost memories." I must have missed the memo again - Saw a lot of entries that presented visuals about machines that were able to manipulate dreams. I interpreted it as presenting a machine of your dreams - something probably impossible to build. For the challenge, I thought about what kind of machine I want to present and I recalled about the 6 simplest machines in the world that I was taught in science class - lever, wheel and axle, pulley, inclined plane, wedge, and screw. In the end, I chose to present a simple pulley and gave it a fantasy spin - that it was able to pull and retrieve lost memories from a memory well. I was quite sure I was going to end up near the bottom of the rankings again after seeing so many literal dream machines during voting. Ended up getting into top 20 narrowly out of 66 entries with 51% win rate - a result like this is definitely a win for me.
