This grimdark sci-fi artwork features a bulky Adeptus Astartes space marine standing atop muddy battlefield debris and scattered skulls, outside a massive towering gothic industrial imperial city. The desaturated dark charcoal palette is punctuated by menacing glowing red accent lights from the ruined spires, under a roiling ash-filled storm sky. The tense, oppressive post-war mood is enhanced by the marine's tattered cloak, glowing red helmet visors, and heavy assault rifle, evoking the bleak Warhammer 40,000 universe.
