Yes, there is that 🙂 But - there are also many ancient places in central & south America (also, there are the Native american Mound Monuments.) There's history in every continent. Granted - Mediteranean area, europe in general & asia, go a LONG way back.) Also - did you know that there are people living - not just in Greece, but in Freaking ATHENS that haven't gone up to the Acropoliis & Parthenon??!!!

cuz it's home and they can go any time. They need a visitor from out of town to drag them up htere. It's funny how when people go out of town, they visit all over the place they visit but when they are home, they often stay in their own little neighborhood. I wish I could go there. It'd be amazing to see the Acropolis and Parthenon

It's funny people buy guidebooks and research places when they go visit another city or country but they don't do the same thing for where they live. It's so cool when you do that for where you live becasue then you find out all kinds of interesting things. Or at least the nearest interesting place to where you live, lol.

well, you live in Europe so there are a lot of courntries you can visit that are nearby and even in Greece there's a ton of historical places to visit that go back to BC. Americans and Canadians we have to travel across an ocean to get that same travel feeling of visiting another culture or history.

That's pretty awesome that the suburbs have interesting places to go to too. Here suburbs are fairly boring -- just residences and grocery stores and gas stations but the city is nearby and it has interesting places to see along with homes, stores and gas stations.

I think that's key. If you pay attention, interesting things are all around us. It's only if you take it for granted that you don't see or appreciate it
