  It is indeed Chambers who wrote KIY. HPL admired him greatly. I agree that whoever gets to know the latter's work at first, doss not get impressed by the former's. As far as the Tattered King is concerned, better known as .... no, that Is-Not-To-Be-Named... well, the H-name, that, HPL got from another author, Ambrose Bierce, I think. ...And I beg of you: Do NOT read that accursed Book to the end ...or, you will end up ...like me...

  😅 ... I prefere the short stories of HPL ... I tried to read the king in yellow (from Robert Chambers ... not sure) ... but compared to the Lovecrafts stories it took so long for the story to evolve, that I quit in the middle of the book. 😅 And it seems, it is good to not read it to the end 😳😉
