Top-down antique engraved illustration of a honeybee with spread, detailed wings and fine cross-hatching lines

About this PNG

This finely detailed nineteenth-century style engraving shows a fully spread honeybee rendered with precise ink linework and cross-hatching. It is ideal for natural history publications, educational materials, vintage design projects, and entomology themed graphics.

Prompt: “Antique nineteenth-century engraving of a honeybee seen from directly above with its wings spread wide, every stripe and wing vein drawn in fine black lines with an off-white fill. Fine black ink lines with dense cross-hatching, an even off-white paper colour filling the inside of the subject, no other colour, the look of an old encyclopedia plate. One single subject, whole and centred with empty space all around it, on a plain flat mid-grey background, evenly lit, with no gradient and no shadow on the background. No text, no letters, no numbers, no logos, no watermark, no frame, no border, no extra objects” — AI-generated, its background removed, and reviewed for quality before listing.

Editor's note (9.0/10): The illustration nearly perfectly matches the brief, with crisp linework, correct bee anatomy, no flaws or artefacts, and a classic encyclopedia engraving aesthetic.
