Enuma Elish

Hi there your fella writing a blog post, as you can see, most of my images are mythology-themed related, and so was my NC "lostland" profile. One day i was listening a black metal band that has this song called "Enuma Elish", so i decided to make a collection of images about Enuma Elish. Enuma Elish is the name of Mesopotamian ancient book/text, one of the most ancient text in history, is a epic poem who relate the creation of the world, similar to most creation myths, relates how the world was created, deities were born and humanity was created. The text was written in 2 lines verses, with the second line having the role of emphasize the first line via opposition. "When on high the heaven had not been named, Firm ground below had not been called by name," Just thinking that people on 2nd millenium BCE were doing poetry just shut my head.
