Comparing different video models available on Budgetpixel

Interested in created video but unsure what model to use? In this blog I'll compare and give a brief review of the result vs cost of several models. All used the same prompt, and same starting image. Here is the starting image, that was used for BudgetPixel's user challenge. Using the following prompt: "camera tracks this warrior as they are charging forward, epic, cinematic, the warrior in front turns her head back to look at the soldiers behind her and screams powerfully while raising her club in the air then looks forward leading the charge," 1. First test Grok This is gonna be tough to beat, I always find Grok to create very quality animations, maintain faces well and follow prompts with out bodily distortions, glitches and so forth, so naturally it was the model I tried first. The audio came out great as well. 2. Pixverse C1 Once again, stunning results, animation is great, characters retained quite well, audio is quality also great, I have no complaints. Though the zoom in on the character followed by the zoom out were not prompted in, the model might have interpreted that through the prompt. Still very good results. 3. Seedance 1 Pro So apparently this model did not include audio, oh well there are many glaring other issues that makes this one less appealing. You can the weapon "clipping" or passing through the character, and then it morphs from moment to moment. Sadly, if it wasn't for that, it would otherwise still be a decent pick, the characters including the charging beasts reasonably retain their similarity but the weapon morphing is simply too egregious to recommend this model. 4. Seedance 2.0 mini Now this is really good, the character performs exactly the action I asked for, characters do not morph and the objects also do not morph. Audio is good, visual detail on the face of the character is phenomenal. I would rate this extremely highly, recommended! 5. Veo 3.1 Disappointing results, I think this ranks amongst the lowest of the models. While characters and objects generally don't morph (in this clip) I have seen it happen much more in other video generations. I didn't expect much and was yet again let down. The main character dismounting from the beast was not prompted so once again you get unreliable results from Veo. In my experience I would recommend you stay away from this model, it is also entirely too expensive at nearly twice the credit cost versus all other models. 6. HappyHorse 1.1 Truly phenomenal quality. Animations are natural and realistic speed, the detail and character consistency are great, no morphing, audio is top notch. For an action scene like this, the rendering succeeded in every possible way. I would place this near the top. Though the character can look a little cartoonish, that might be chalked up to the starting image. Happy Horse 1.1 = Best physics and animations, stunning scene altogether. Great voice. 9/10 Seedance 2.0 mini = Extremely well done character, physics/animations of the beasts aren't as good as HappyHorse 1.1, character looks extremely realistic. Great voice. 9/10 Veo 3.1 = IMO this model should be dropped, it's total garbage and you can get better results for far less of a "premium". 5/10 Seedance 1 Pro = Outdated by Seedance 2.0 mini. No audio included, hadn't actually used this model much and tested it out not knowing much about it. No recommended. Most egregious object morphing of all clips. 2/10 Pixverse C1 = Extremely good animation, character quality, consistency, audio is great. Not much else to say, definitely rate it among the top. 9/10 Grok = Great quality, consistency, voice is good, beast charging animation looks a little slow but that might be chalked up to the "cinematic" descriptor in the prompt so then the animations are slowed. 8/10 Hope this blog was helpful or at least enjoyable.
