What is Previs?
Updated October 27, 2026
Previs is BudgetPixel’s AI previs (previsualization) tool. You describe a shot or pick a camera move by name, check it as a quick clay 3D preview, and then make the real video with Seedance 2.5, which keeps the same camera move.
- Sketch the shot: describe what happens, or pick a camera move. The planner builds the set, your characters as coloured figures, their paths and the camera.
- Set the camera: watch the move from every side and change the lens, the speed or the move with sliders, or ask for a change in plain words.
- Make it real: Seedance 2.5 takes the clay preview as its reference for the camera, the blocking and the timing. A quick 480p draft comes first, then HD from the draft you choose.
A shot runs 4 to 15 seconds in 16:9, 9:16 or 1:1, with up to six characters cast by @handle (your own or the free AI influencers), animals, props and whole sets.
Filmmakers use it to block scenes and music videos, UGC ad makers to plan the hook with an AI actor, and agencies to agree on a commercial shot before paying for the video. Planning is charged per second of preview, while sliders, undo and the sketch video are free; the Previs page has the prices.
