A dash means the platform does not publish that resolution's price. Per clip = plan price ÷ plan credits × credits per clip. Prices checked October 25, 2026, from a US address; sources are listed at the end.
What does each platform charge, credit by credit?
The 720p row in detail, with the yearly price and the promotions we saw:
| Platform | Credits per 8-second clip | Per clip, monthly plan | Per clip, yearly plan | Promotions on October 25 | Source |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| BudgetPixel | 2,640 | $2.40 | $2.00 | None for Seedance 2.5 | Pricing |
| Krea | about 1,390 | about $2.43 | — | — | Pricing |
| Pippit | 256 | $2.44 | $2.28 | A $9 Starter price shown, end date not given | Pricing |
| Higgsfield | 56 | $2.75 | $2.19 | — | Pricing |
| Dreamina | 296 | $2.82 | $2.63 | $0.29 first month in the US, from October 21 | Pricing |

| OpenArt | 1,040 | $3.64 | $3.38 | — | Pricing |
| Runway | 240 | $5.76 | $4.61 | — | Models and pricing |
Higgsfield's plans differ by region: US visitors see Plus at $59 for 1,200 credits, others $49 for 1,000, about 4.9 cents a credit either way. Krea's figure is an estimate, because its plan card and its comparison table give different clip counts. Magnific's prices exclude VAT.
What does a 1080p Seedance 2.5 clip cost?

At 1080p the gap widens: the same 8-second clip costs $5.45 on BudgetPixel's Basic plan and $13.06 on Runway's Standard plan, almost 2.4 times as much. One 1080p clip takes 6,000 credits on BudgetPixel, so the Basic plan's 11,000 monthly credits cover one; a credit pack or a bigger plan covers more (see below).
What does the official Seedance 2.5 API cost?
Developers can call Seedance 2.5 directly and pay per second or per token, with no plan:
| API | 480p | 720p | 1080p | Source |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| BytePlus ModelArk (official) | $0.82 | $1.85 | $4.55 | Docs |
| Replicate | $0.82 | $1.85 | — | Model page |
| OpenRouter | $0.82 | $1.85 | $4.16 | Model page |
| Runway API | $1.60 | $2.40 | $5.44 | Pricing |
| Hedra | $1.19 | $2.57 | $6.33 | Model page |
| Higgsfield API | $1.64 | $3.70 | $9.10 | Playground |
| fal | $1.72 | $3.70 | $9.10 | Model page |
The cheapest APIs beat every app per clip. What they leave out is everything around the clip: an editor, other image, video and music models, characters, templates, and a monthly allowance you can plan around. If you already have your own pipeline, an API is the cheaper road; if you make videos by hand, an app is.
What changes the price of a Seedance 2.5 clip?
- Resolution. On BudgetPixel a second of video costs 150 credits at 480p, 330 at 720p and 750 at 1080p, so 1080p costs five times as much as 480p.
- Length. Every platform we checked bills by the second: a 5-second clip costs 0.625 times the 8-second price, a 10-second clip 1.25 times.
- A reference video. Editing or restyling an existing clip adds input charges on most platforms. BudgetPixel charges 80, 160 or 375 credits per input second; Runway adds 10, 15 or 34 credits a second; Higgsfield's edit mode costs 3.5, 7.5 or 20 credits a second; Pippit bills input and output seconds together.
- Reference images and audio. Free on BudgetPixel, up to 30 images and 10 audio clips, and free in Runway's API. Generated sound costs nothing extra wherever a platform says either way.
- Plan, pack or discount. Yearly plans cut the per-clip price by 7 to 28% on the apps above. BudgetPixel's credit packs cost 1,000 credits per $1, about 10% more than Basic plan credits, and Ultra members get 10% off Seedance.
How many Seedance 2.5 clips does each BudgetPixel plan cover?
Whole 8-second clips per month from each plan's monthly credits:
| Plan | Credits a month | 480p | 720p | 1080p |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Basic, $10 | 11,000 | 9 | 4 | 1 |
| Premium, $22 | 25,000 | 20 | 9 | 4 |
| Pro, $55 | 60,000 | 50 | 22 | 10 |
| Ultra, $125 (10% off Seedance) | 130,000 | 120 | 54 | 24 |
Credits are shared with every other model and tool on BudgetPixel, so the same plan also covers images, music and edits. Current plans are on the pricing page.
What is the cheapest way to make Seedance 2.5 videos?
- Test at 480p. A 480p clip costs a fifth of a 1080p one. Settle the prompt there, then pay for 1080p only for the take you keep.
- Keep tests short. Five seconds is enough to judge motion and framing, at 0.625 times the 8-second price.
- Draft on a cheaper model. Seedance 2.0 Mini costs 60 credits a second at 480p on BudgetPixel: about $0.44 for 8 seconds on the Basic plan.
- Pay yearly if you will keep using it. BudgetPixel's yearly Basic plan brings an 8-second 720p clip down to $2.00.
- Read promotions to the end. A first-month price is only the first month; compare what the plan costs after it.
How much more does Seedance 2.5 cost than Seedance 2.0?
On BudgetPixel, credits per second of video:
| Model | 480p | 720p | 1080p | 8-second 720p clip |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Seedance 2.5 | 150 | 330 | 750 | 2,640 credits, $2.40 on Basic |
| Seedance 2.0 | 100 | 220 | 550 | 1,760 credits, $1.60 on Basic |
| Seedance 2.0 Mini | 60 | 120 | — | 960 credits, $0.87 on Basic |
Seedance 2.5 costs about 1.4 to 1.5 times as much as Seedance 2.0. Use 2.5 for the final look and 2.0 or 2.0 Mini for drafts and volume.

Questions people ask
How much does Seedance 2.5 cost?
It depends on the platform, the resolution and the length. On October 25, 2026, an 8-second clip cost $1.09 at 480p, $2.40 at 720p and $5.45 at 1080p on BudgetPixel's Basic plan, and up to $13.06 at 1080p on Runway's Standard plan.
What is the cheapest way to use Seedance 2.5?
Among the apps we checked, BudgetPixel had the lowest monthly list price at 480p, 720p and 1080p. Developers calling the official BytePlus API pay about $1.85 for an 8-second 720p clip. Some apps run first-month promotions that are lower for that month only.
Can I use Seedance 2.5 for free?
Not on BudgetPixel's free plan: its 300 monthly credits are less than one 8-second 480p clip, which takes 1,200. Some apps offer first-month promotions; check their terms for the price after the first month.
Does audio cost extra with Seedance 2.5?
Not on BudgetPixel: generated audio is included, and up to 30 reference images and 10 reference audio clips are free. On the platforms that state it, audio costs nothing extra; reference videos are what add cost.
How much does a 10-second Seedance 2.5 clip cost?
Every platform we checked bills by the second, so a 10-second clip costs 1.25 times the 8-second price. On BudgetPixel's Basic plan that is $1.36 at 480p, $3.00 at 720p and $6.82 at 1080p.
Is the Seedance 2.5 API cheaper than an app?
Per clip, yes: BytePlus, Replicate and OpenRouter charge about $1.85 for 8 seconds at 720p. Apps add an editor, other models and a monthly allowance; an API suits developers who already have their own tools.
How much more does Seedance 2.5 cost than Seedance 2.0?
