Diana the Mysterious Woman 29 to 36

8 more pages from this graphic novel: I would like to add a few notes about this series of nearly 500 images that I used to create this graphic novel. All these images were created more than two years ago using essentially SDXL (Stable Diffusion) and two online platforms (NightCafe and Tengr.ai ). At that time, maintaining sufficient coherence between characters, their clothes, or the settings, was definitely more complicated than it is now. However, the fact that a significant number of images could be created at a very low cost was of considerable help in the search for acceptable results. Looking back at this series of images now I have to admit that many of them are of good quality, in some respects superior to what can be obtained now even with the most advanced models. In particular, the quality and brightness of the complexion, the details of the skin, the features of the faces or hair, make these characters more "natural" than many of those created by current models, which seem increasingly inclined to exalt the aspects connected to illustration or manipulated photography, a bit like those you may find in glossy magazines. Of course, current models have many advantages and great versatility when it comes to using styles such as anime, comic books, drawings, various painting and illustration techniques, and so on. But when I try to recreate one of these scenes from a simple text prompt, as I did with the images in this series, none of the current advanced models give me the same cleanliness and clarity that I was able to achieve with the models of that era, for which – in this respect – I feel a bit nostalgic. As for setting up each page of the graphic novel, I have now achieved considerable skill in using the Comic Life program, which allows me to obtain a professional-quality result in just over half an hour of work for each page, obviously excluding the time needed to create the images to insert into each panel.
