**Thunderbirds** --- A few people recognised Captain Scarlet as the work of master puppeteer and show producer Gerry Anderson. This show was my other favourite in this style of children's TV. Again I recall my brother having a metal toy Thunderbird 2 with a pod that dropped out containing Thunderbird 4.

That’s really cool! I’ve always wondered why some are in black and white and others in color. I once downloaded some and they were in color, but I’ve seen plenty of them around that are in black and white.

I believe they were produced in color, but in some countries, color broadcasting wasn't introduced until later—perhaps they were aired in black and white there.
