Well, I've watched the first two seasons. They were LotR, after all and I'm just hungry for that. Leaving aside the inaccuracies with Tolkien's history of the Middle earth, we watched it with my vampire woman and we had a good time. We see it at christmas season *they air it there abouts' and we just want Magic and Fantassy at those days. (BtW, she saw the image with you me and Gandalf and she said: Hands off Gandalf! He's a cutie old guy!! I said: - ......)

Yeah, I was also thinking of the movie version (it's to long ago, I was reading it 😁) but it's the hobbit who tells him "what's the elven word for friend ?" and Gandalf replies to the question, he doesn't solve the riddle, Frodo does. Gandalf was only saying "When you are a friend you say the passphrase and you enter" ... which was wrong.

Nononono ... he did NOT solve a simple Dwarven Riddle ... the simple minded Hobbit did solve it 😁 And yes, he does not know even one Teleporting spell ... he needs some eagle cabs ... and he doesn't know a calling spell to call them, he needs a moth to call them 😁 Saruman can whisper in the wind to make a mountain cruble ... see some difference ? 😁

Aw, that show-off... I tell you, I'm sure he doesn't know even ONE Teleporting Spell!!! It took him 8 hours to understand a simple Dwarven Riddle!! Thank Belial he realized it just in time, before his Party got gobbled-up by that Dweller in the Lake!

Yeah, just doing some geriatric stick fighting 🙄 and showing at the end, that the eagles could have been flying the hobbits to mount doom in 10 minutes, so the whole trilogy was just Gandalf being a dick to the hobbits. 🙄
