Inktober 2026 Day -- bad luck number in some countries : flimsy 1. My original drawing. the concept was "flimsy" . Well, my idea was a ronin flying away with a flimsy kite being torn apart by a storm. Can you see it? Prompt: one of my favorite styles mixing rinpa school, sumi-e, and felt-tip brush 2. GPT 2.5 Sunburst 3. Nano Banana 2.1 4. Grok 5. Kling v3 (ok, nothing like my sketch but it did understand I was doing a cat ronin so that's cool) 6. GPT 2.5 Flare what surprised me was that most of these stayed closer to my sketch than when I did Renaissance painting style or Dutch Golden Age painting. I expected them to make my sketch look more like it was done by a professional ink artist which Kling did (actually Kling took a right turn and hopped on the highway, leaving the others behind) but the other's didn't. They improved my sketch a little but definitely not as much as I expected. October is Inktober month where people are challenged to do one ink drawing a day. You can find the list of this year's prompt on the Inktober site. There are other daily drawing prompt sites https://inktober.com/rules

yeah, I agree with the AI seeing it as a parachute or a glider. I did a renaissance one first to see if it understood my sketch adn that one it looked like a small strange balloon, like for a airship but personal size.

a little bit. trying out more of a scene. but i did that with the rescue one too wit the kasa-obake standing over a kitten to keep it dry. before that i think it was mostly just heads

It’s really good, though the kite can be a bit odd at times; I think the AI tends to see it more as a parachute than a kite. I also like the cat-themed Ronin.
