Red-tailed hawk grapples mid-flight with a turkey vulture high above a desert canyon landscape
This dramatic wildlife shot captures a red-tailed hawk locking talons with a squawking turkey vulture high over a sunlit southwestern desert canyon. Warm golden hour light illuminates the hawk's distinctive russet tail feathers and the vulture's dark plumage, with layered red rock mesas stretching to a hazy distant horizon. The tense, dynamic scene showcases raw wild avian conflict against a vast arid landscape.
