This atmospheric dark fantasy steampunk illustration depicts a diverse crew of adventurers planning an expedition around a cluttered table covered in ancient parchment maps, brass navigational tools, and leather-bound books inside a vaulted underwater library. A purple-skinned drow elf scholar, blonde expedition lead, male cartographer, and server in a silk sari gather around the table, while a massive glowing-eyed kraken looms outside the arched glass aquarium windows of the deep sea observatory. Warm golden lamplight contrasts with cool sparkling deep blue ocean tones, building a tense, adventurous mood ideal for tabletop RPG artwork, fantasy worldbuilding, or steampunk concept art.

Congrats on top 10 streak! I love this piece by the way. The Human Chessboard had a nice sombre vibe too.
