🏁 Racing Car 🏁 Unlike our Lost Expedition entry, which we spent some time on, we spent very little time on our race car entry, which ended up placing sixth in the recent challenge haha. This is doubly ironic because we really don’t know much about cars, and the prompt was quite simple. Don't know all the science of T-tests etc for statistical significance etc. I think the trick is to find that image that is what people expect to see when they immediately see the theme, either consciously or subconsciously and make an outstanding version of it. And if you can include a hot woman, dare I say being objectified that is very often going to help you to be picked by many folk (not me, I tend to ignore such blatant attempts to win my pick, unless it is inherently part of the theme)

Simple or complex wrt prompts can go both ways. As for the time taken, this can end up being a typical 2x2 reflecting on time taken and placing. And in such a distribution I suspect there'd be no correlation. So if you choose to spend a lot of time, thought and iterations to maximise chances of winning be prepared for inevitable disappointments.

very cool car. And I feel you. It's disappointing when something we spent thought and effort on doesn't do well; and another that we just did in a jiff and don't expect anything from does well. It just goes to show. BP Voters are unpredictable

true. Don't see too many that are truly unrealistically proportioned. Certain;ly a trade-off and influenced by the demographics of participation - I have no idea on that

Yeah but if the woman is too objectified, you lose the female vote. (We will almost always vote against an image if it has a woman with oversized breasts or unrealistically thin waist). So there's a trade-off there...
