A hobby of mine is to use face-swapping technology to bring mummy portraits to life. In this case I used a photorealistic rendering of a Fayoum mummy portrait (Getty collection, dated 100CE) made by a friend from mine from Poland, Ritchie Pogorzelski, and then put it in an Ai video maker.. I made her walk around first century AD Alexandria. It makes the ancient world and the people in it very real.
