Fantasy woman kneeling with a glowing magical swirl around her in a garden between vintage cars.
A vibrant fantasy illustration of a woman kneeling in a garden, summoning a glowing magical swirl that arcs above her. Surrounded by friendly wildlife, rusty vintage cars, a rustic shed, and a warm glow, the scene blends whimsy with magical realism, using lush greens, sunset tones, and cozy garden details.

Watering the plants in an abandoned lot. Plus my asian-american druid can talk to animals which is why they are all getting along as they hang out on her turf. FYI: in Celtic folklore, oak trees can serve as natural portals to fairyland. Part of my idea is the arching of the two oak trees creates a portal in the abandoned shack which is why it's glowing. QT: Urban Druid – character(s) who uses nature magic but live in a modern, gritty city. @justrob sent out the QT with the character description. I think he's the one who started the QT https://budgetpixel.com/p/16438

Lovely story and image 🥰

Great image! It is very well plotted, you have given it a lot of thought. I like that she uses her skills for mundane but heart-warming tasks and I LOVE her companions! I have a huge fondness for Urban Fantasy, though, these days it seems to have become a label for just one thing: The Paranormal PI stories. It is actually unlimited in sxope and themes. (Something like that seems to have happenee to Steampunk, where so many books and series resttrict it to Sherlock Holmes & Watson detective stories)

I know! I usually just read books at the library but most of his books are gone from our local library now. so I've been looking for him whenever I've gone to thrift stores nowadays. Really hard to find. Maybe it's because I'm not in California any more. In California his books seemed to be evreywhere.

I love urban fantasy too. One of my favorite urban fantasy writers is Charles de Lint but he's getting hard to find these days

Yeah, tell me about it!! Everything is out-of-print... and he's written TONS of books!

you have managed to include a lot of diverse obects and ideas😍

thank you! I did try. The animals were a bit stiff tho. However in a lot of other images (I tired different models), some of the animals were deformed. I did like the rabbit-coyote hybrid that did show up in one, lol.
