Bearded space fleet admiral stands beside futuristic space battleships during an active outer space battle.
This retro anime style space opera artwork features a white-bearded naval fleet admiral standing alongside iconic futuristic space battleships, set against a deep starry cosmic backdrop. A large orange terrestrial planet, floating asteroids, and bright weapons fire explosion from an active space battle fill the background, with a bold contrasting palette of deep indigo, gunmetal gray, and vibrant red. The mood is dramatic and high-stakes, evocative of classic vintage space anime storytelling.

I’ve heard of the series before, but I’ve never actually seen an episode. I also can’t recall if—or when—it might have aired on TV here. It definitely looks interesting, though! 👌

When it came out in Japan, i was 1 year old 😃 In Greece they aired the US version (1979) at around 1981 when I was 10.
