Elder elven ice witch with a crystal crown stands beside a snowy stone path lined with ancient celtic standing stones
This dark fantasy scene depicts a haggard winter crone witch with glowing eyes, ice crown, and twisted wooden staff standing at the edge of a frost-covered cobblestone path winding through an ancient celtic graveyard. Muted cool blue and grey tones, drifting snow, curling mist, and gnarled bare winter trees create an eerie, magical, foreboding atmosphere. Intricate details include mossy carved standing stones, glowing frost flora, and heavy storm clouds hanging over open moorland.

The ancient Celtic festival of Samhain, the Celts believed that on the night of October 31st, the line separating the living from the dead became very thin, allowing souls to return temporarily to Earth, was transformed by Christianization into "All Hallows' Eve." This tradition later reached the United States, where it was commercialized, appropriated, and renamed "Halloween." She is the Cailleach (the Queen of Winter), a figure from Irish legend who is said to awaken on October 31st, marking the beginning of Ireland’s harsh winter.
