Anthropomorphic cat and rabbit explore an ornate palace hall as a ghost ballerina appears in a gilded mirror
Two cute anthropomorphic characters, a blonde cat girl holding a camcorder and blue-haired purple rabbit girl holding a scanner, walk through a lavish gilded baroque hallway. Warm golden candlelight from crystal chandeliers glints off polished parquet floors, while a translucent ethereal ballerina spirit appears in the giant floor mirror beside their reflections. The scene has a whimsical adventurous mood, rich with warm amber, rose pink, and deep purple color tones.

Catwalk: walking in the Foyer de la Danse at the Paris Opera House on Thursday where would you like to walk tomorrow? (I feel like I'm forgetting I told someone I'd go somewhere. If I forgot, please remind me!) Located right behind the stage, the Foyer de la Danse was a private resting and practicing room for the Paris Opera Ballet dancers. According to Parisian legend, before the current Palais Garnier was built, the opera company performed at the Salle Le Peletier. In 1873, a catastrophic fire destroyed that theatre. A young ballerina rehearsal dancer died in the fire. Her fiancé, a young pianist named Ernest, survived but was horribly burned and disfigured. Out of grief, Ernest hid in the underground cellars of the newly constructed Palais Garnier to finish his musical masterpiece. Legend says the spirits of the heartbroken couple were reunited there, and dancers for generations have claimed to see a ghostly ballerina wandering the backstage corridors near the Foyer de la Danse

Last year I read a greek edition of the book that started 'the Phantom of the Opera' tale It is a mystery novel of the same name, by french (what else) author Gaston Leroux. It was published 1909 -10. It appears that he got the inspiration from the legend you mention and rumors spreading at that time of mysterious accidents surronuding the rehearsals of an upcoming show. (Some were real) A good read all-in-all, though I was expecting a Grand-Guignol plot rather than a mystery one. Fun fact I discovered as I googled this for details on dates etc. In the book, the opera, the movies, there is an 'underground lake' under the Paris opera House, where the Phantom takes Christine (remember, in a boat wher he and Christine sing the fantastic, famous song : ' In sleep he sang to me. In dreams he came. That voice that calls to me and speaks my name...' well, turns out that it REALLY exists! It is a huge cistern that to this day is used as a training place for firefighters!!!!
