Baby barn swallow nestlings peek out from a packed mud nest attached to a rusted metal beam
This intimate candid close up captures fluffy barn swallow nestlings poking their heads out of a rough packed mud nest built on weathered rust-spotted galvanized steel. The warm brown and black plumage of the chicks contrasts against grey metal and patchy orange rust, showcasing wild bird nesting behavior in an unexpected manmade location. The quiet shot highlights adaptable urban wildlife making use of human infrastructure.
