Vintage pulp paperback cover for The Sword and the Rose depicting two medieval women in a tender romantic embrace
This retro 1950s-style fantasy pulp fiction cover features two queer medieval noblewomen sharing an intimate, tender moment set against a glowing moonlit castle backdrop. Rich saturated hues of deep crimson, emerald green, gilded gold, and dark midnight blue create a dramatic passionate mood, accented by a jewel encrusted sword, blooming red roses, and ornate medieval tapestries. The distressed worn vintage paperback aesthetic leans into classic fantasy romance tropes of royal duty, political peril, and all-consuming forbidden love.

**Pulp Fiction Cover: The Sword and the Rose** When a young woman unexpectedly draws the sword no nobleman could claim, Caerwyn gains a queen nobody was prepared for — and a ruler determined to build something better than the kingdom she inherited. But crowns bring enemies, old loyalties are never as simple as they seem, and the arrival of the sharp-witted Elara changes Aveline’s life in ways no prophecy could have predicted. The Sword and the Rose is a romantic medieval mini-novella of queens, knights, court intrigue, dangerous ambition, ancient magic, and a love strong enough to stand beside a throne.
