This serene traditional Chinese ink wash painting depicts a rural woman viewed from behind, carrying a wicker basket full of laundry as she walks along a quiet riverside dirt path. Soft hazy morning mist hangs over the calm river, with delicate brushwork rendering tall reeds, colorful wildflowers, and distant tree-lined banks in muted earthy, sage, and black ink tones. The warm, nostalgic scene celebrates everyday rural life, with a classic red artist seal stamped in the upper left corner of the composition.

Traditional Chinese ink wash painting of a woman carrying a laundry… — AI video by @justrob

This is 100 % AI. I told Claude to make 5 images in japanese ink brush style. It made the 5 images shown last night. Then today I told claude to make a video using those 5 clips. It wrote the prompts, generated 5 clips, then used ffmpg to merge the clips. Then I used BPs api to generate the audio, and it merged the audio into the video. cost me about 3 bucks in credits. 13 second or so, video. Considering i have no talent for art or writing or video editing, i'm a little aghast.

and i said - make 5 images of a chinese woman in 1450 washing her families clothes. Then I said make a movie using the images. And it wrote all the prompts, called BPs API, prompted the music, assembled the video. I did upload it. Ive since added a title page & a static closing, though i think i want to change the closing title to be over a video.

I'd say the art style is much more Chinese than Japanese, but Claude & Co. did a wonderful job on the image and the animation regardless. Also, don't sell yourself short on the artistry of your own part of the work. It takes a whole lot of knowledge and talent to give almighty AI the right "stuff" to go by. The other day I took a peek at your prompt for the pseudo historic photos and really learnt a few things that I could try in the future.

To me the style of this piece is very much in the vein of the "new school" of traditional ink brush painting that has developed in China over the past century or so under the influence of western art--as practiced by such grandmasters as Qi Baishi, Fu Baoshi, and Li Kuchan.

Thanks! SD 1.5 Pro is good for simple stuff we've found (like washing clothes). It stinks at more complex animations.
