She is staying with her friend. If they have to make a stand, she will throw magic at the ship, while the mechanic mcgyvers something from around them to blow up the ship or at least blast them enough that they back off and find easier prey. They are headed for a very narrow pass and some caves. If they make it there, the airship can't follow

not really at odds. You don't know that the steampunk airship isn't manned by fae. Funny thing is my prompt was run to the landing airship to meet a friend but the AI had other ideas, lol.
