This evocative dark fantasy digital artwork features a powerful ice queen sorceress, adorned with a spiked sapphire crystal crown and shimmering icy silver gown, her glowing ethereal blue eyes fixed intently on the crystal ball she cradles. The glowing glass orb reveals a harrowing apocalyptic cityscape wreathed in red fire and smoke, creating a tense, foreboding mood that contrasts the sorceress’s cool, magical icy aesthetic with the fiery destruction she foresees. Floating glowing runes and stardust-like sparkles fill the dark, atmospheric background, amplifying the mystical, ominous tone of this original fantasy art.

**Watch the world burn** 4/83 (but I think should have been 3rd cos we tied but I had the better W/L ratio) It's weird.

If you have fewer wins and more losses with the same number of matches but the same ELO, it means that the 3rd position beat players with higher ELO. I guess they look at the ELO of who you beat in case there is a tie, or it could be more arbitrary where whoever gets the ELO first gets the position (meaning Eternasky got a few wins that pushed him to tie, but the other guy was already at that ELO).

In both scenarios, it doesn't seem fair to the one placed at lower ranking. There is no reason why beating 2 lower ranked yields lower merit than beating 1 higher ranked if both ends up the same ELO, or why someone tied late must be ranked lower. Not a fan of this ELO model but I guess it is what it is.

The issue now is EternaSky (placed 4th) has exactly the same ELO as 3rd place, with the same number of matches. So in this case where ELO is tied and both sides competed equally, what determines who gets 3rd and 4th, if it is not win/loss?

thewhiskeyjack

If you win against a low ELO submission, you gain less ELO yourself. So if you win against a 1600 ELO, you gain more than winning against 2 1500 ELO opponents.

Wow! It' beautiful! She could have been the winner. I didn't get her in the voting, otherwise I would have voted for her. Congratulations!

Damn why are you 4th with higher win rate and same ELO? Hope this makes you feel a little better.

beastxyz

Not sure if anything would be done as he is quite defensive on the ELO model. But good luck!

Congrats on your top 10. I liked the addition of the crystal ball and its contrasting nature

Congrats! That does sound a litle strange. You did have a significantly larger number of wins.
