- What does an image-to-3D model do?
- It takes one picture of an object or character and builds a textured 3D model of it: a mesh with its surface colours, which you can turn around in the browser and download for a game engine, a 3D printer, AR or a design tool.
- Which 3D model should I use?
- Tripo H3.1 is the most faithful to the picture, including cartoons, with PBR materials. Meshy 7.1 makes lighter models, offers more file formats and can rig and animate humanoid characters. Each card shows real results to compare.
- What file formats do I get?
- Every model downloads as GLB. Meshy 7.1 also exports FBX, USDZ and STL. The model page lists each one's formats and options.
- How is AI 3D generation priced?
- Per model, not per second: the card shows the price of one 3D model, and options such as rigging add a stated amount on top. Failed jobs are not charged.
- What picture works best?
- One clear subject on a plain background, seen from the front or three-quarters, with nothing cut off at the edges. Busy scenes and several objects in one picture give weaker models.
