QT: your favourite childhood novel ---------- well not exactly childhood, these one i read during highschool, and are very adult themed 😅 -Oedipus Rex: i remember read the play version, for a play/theater class, one of my first meet of my future fanatism for ancient greek mythology, literature, and also psycology concepts and theory. -El beso de la mujer araña (Kiss of the spider woman): although is a story happening in Argentina, it has a lot of feel and heart of all southamerica, specially in the 1970s decade, a story of two men imprisoned by the military dictatorship, one of them for being a revolutionary-marxist political party member, a idealist and rational mind, the other a homosexual drag man, an apolitic and sentimental man, this character in particular has still modern day reflexive thoughts, as he seemed to at certain point being ok and support the military people/government who will ended imprisoning him. -Cien años de soledad (Hundred years of solitude): epitome of "realismo mágico" the most profilent latinamerican literary genre/style, tells the story of a family in particular that found a small town, during hundred years that town becomes bigger and face the turbulents times during Colombia history, mixing old folklore tradition and the new incomes of modernity.

Well, being greek I have read Oedipus. Hundred years of Solitude has a greek translation, but I rarely read mainstream, mostly Science Fiction Fantasy. I am not sure about a greek edition of spider woman's kiis - has it been made into a movie? I think so
