Catwalk: Walking along an ancient highway to King Solomon's mines on Saturday walk suggested by @panos Since I did a King Solomon's walk before I wanted to do something a bit different than the homage to Haggard I showed you. This time I went for a historical route although modern archaelogical digs have shown that the mines were more likely copper mines excavated in Timna Valley and Jordan. King Solomon's mines had several historical and theoretical places one of which was Mahd adh Dhahab (Cradle of Gold), an immensely rich, ancient gold mine located in west-central Saudi Arabia that was heavily active during the exact era of Solomon's reign. 780 miles south of the Cradle of Gold is Jabal al-Nahdain translates from Arabic to "The Mountain of the Two Breasts". This real-world site literally consists of two highly symmetrical, arid, volcanic-looking twin peaks rising above the desert plains. HIstorically this area was associated with the Queen of Sheba. While the Cradle of Gold and Jabal al-Nahdain are in two different countries today, they sit on opposite ends of the same historic Arabian trade route network. Back in the day, it would take 30 days for a camel caravan to travel this incense route.
