**Enjoying a new album** Original QT: What do you feel like is disappearing but you don't want it to disappear https://budgetpixel.com/p/33798 --- I forgot to record the original post. I know it was books. I think it was @CaylaCatz. But maybe Cayla put that spin on @Sealine Thrifting QT. If you are the originator please let me know so I can update and even better a link to the original. --- I know vinyl has made a comeback (an audiophiles will debate the pros and cons) but for many many people streaming services like Spotify are now the primary way of listening to music. Those services lead one to playlists (which have a place) and popular songs of the artists, not necessarily albums. One of my great pleasures back in my youth was purchasing a new album. Loved to first study the cover, front and back, the art and information. An extra treat if the cover opened up into a double-size spread or even better an insert booklet. Then enjoying the music, start to finish. A great album is a complete work, songs carefully choosen, the order intentional. While I no longer buy albums and sit in a comfortable room to listen, I still listening to albums on my Classic (yes, and another thing disappearing) iPod, mostly when in my car on the way to and from work.

Very cool. That's one thing I am sad about. i lost my records when I moved back home when my dad had cancer. They got left in California. Yeah, that what is disappearing is mine. Sealine also had one that is thrifting. Mine is this one. https://budgetpixel.com/p/33798

I didn't have a hand in this one, but I love the images! I was quite young when I last played a record.

Although vinyl was still going strong, then, I never had a deck in my house. Many of my friends did though and i remeber the process you describe, very clearly
